How many employees work at the branch?

We have 11 employees in our Izmir branch. 9 employees and 2 interns. We are a young and dynamic team.

Are there any staff events at the branch?

Every day is enjoyable for us. We are a very young and fun team so celebrations are inevitable. Almost every Friday we have lunch together and chat. Having a drink together after work is normal for us :) We know every employee's birthday and it is important to us to make personalized surprises. Every year, we organize an event as FMS Türkyie. Unforgettable fun times are experienced for all employees.

What kind of jobs are there at the branch and what are typical tasks?

We are both an import and export office. We mainly organize maritime shipments. We developed our air cargo department and became an office providing sea, land and air services in 2022. The business development department makes customer visits. Our office profitability increases and they promote our company in Turkey. Our operations and documentation department works integrated. They follow the import and export shipments and always stay in contact with the customer. Our operations department strives to serve the customer perfectly.

Why is your FMS office a great place to work?

Because we feel like family here! First of all, who does not want to work in a corporate and well-established company? Besides, it is a great feeling to work in Izmir office. It is a great place to work thanks to the nice balance of professionalism, dedication and team work. In times of crisis, creative ideas always emerge and we manage to turn the crisis into an opportunity. We have a young, determined and fun team. We can learn something new every day at the office. 3 Questions to Seray Bertan Atli | FMS Izmir

1. What is your job at FMS?

I'm working at the sales department for FMS Izmir. Our job is to listen to our clients, be aware of the different kind of developments and translate this into logistic solutions. It is very important to stay in contact with the market to be able to quickly adapt to our customer's needs. I participate in fairs that will contribute to my development and create business potential (such as marble, agriculture and livestock). I'm always trying to create new customers and new opportunities. I support our customers to transport their LCL, FCL, Airfreight and special cargos and assist with pricing. I try to learn a little more every day.

2. How was your professional development at FMS?

I was 22 years old when I came to FMS. Now I am 28 years old. FMS has given me a lot and the Izmir office is a special place for me because I have been here since I was a student. First I was an intern, then an import account manager and now a sales specialist. I am in my 6th year at FMS and I am happy. They have allowed me to grow professionally and introduced me to business while I was still a student. I received many trainings related to our work. These trainings have contributed to my development. I learned to work in harmony with my teammates and I had the opportunity to improve myself in terms of operations and sales.

3. Why do you like working at FMS?

FMS is a global and well-established company. FMS Izmir office is a very young and strong team. We can all hug each other when we have a problem, sadness or a bad event. Our managers always support us and provide opportunities for us to improve ourselves. We give each other feedback to improve our business. The management is always open for new and individual ideas.  It's so nice to be like family at FMS.
