3 Questions to Georgina Trepat | FMS Barcelona

1. What is your job at FMS Barcelona?

I am part of the Special Accounts Team, and my main tasks involve processing and following up on shipping orders to various destinations in Africa, the Middle East, and Central/South America. My job is to arrange the pre-shipping stages of the orders with carriers and warehouses, maintaining daily communication with customers to ensure that all shipment requirements are met. Our team uses many IT tools to carry out our daily tasks, including SeaStep, GPS, OTM, and others.

2. How was your professional development at FMS?

When I started at FMS, I had little experience in land logistics and had never worked in the sea transport field. For me, it has been a new professional challenge, as I had limited knowledge of documents, costs, and how shipments work in the paper sector. It is a very dynamic environment where you learn new aspects of the job every day, which really encourages me to keep learning—not only technical issues but also the interpersonal skills needed to achieve good results.

3. Why do you like working at FMS?

FMS has a very humane environment where your needs and requests are taken into account. Additionally, FMS is quite flexible and adaptable regarding our learning process when we start, as well as in our job tasks. In the different subteams, communication is constantly enhanced, allowing us to grow both personally and professionally.
