Every year our employees can suggest nonprofit organizations FMS should donate to for Christmas. 2019 FMS selected 7 organizations:
This organization supports the emancipation of young foster care leavers. Our colleague Martina Merlin from FMS Barcelona completed a course to be a volunteer/referent for a young person. By becoming a trusting figure, she provides emotional, leisure and linguistic support, accompaniment in the occupational insertion, the studies and the search for housing, the improvement of skills and abilities and expansion of social network.

The association was founded in order to improve medical care on the road. More than 700 doctors, clinics and hospitals across Germany are available to bus and truck drivers for fast outpatient assistance. We as FMS wanted to support this organization, because as a forwarder this is an important topic for us. Especially with over 50 own FMS truck drivers on the road.

The winters in Hamburg are cold and this organization provides 400 sleeping places for homeless people. The building is right next to our headquarters and provides sanitary facilities and washing machines for homeless people as well. Our colleague Christian Bieberstein suggested this organization, which he supports himself as a volunteer each year.

This organization is a German fundraiser for children in need, organized by the Hamburg radio station. Our colleague Anna Kramp suggested this organization, which helps children in need in Hamburg and its surroundings. We visited the radio station to get to know more about the projects and talked with other donators.
